Our client, a major Oil and Gas company, is looking for a Project/Mechanical Engineer Piping Fabrications to work on a 12 months contract in British Columbia,should be open to travelling often.

Main responsibilities are-
- Act as LNGC ambassador and representative at subcontractor location
- Liaise and communicate with JFJV staff at subcontractor location (where present) ensuring onsite teams are clear on client / owner expectations
o Establish good relationship with JFJV representatives and support JFJV efforts at sub-contractor location, while respecting that JFJV will own and manage the delivery of the SB pipe spools at sub-contractor location (i.e. nor JFJV or sub-contractor at location can be given “instructions” by LNGC representative at sub-contractor location (IW/Academy).
- Oversee and report back to directorate organization / team following up on SB pipe spool delivery on progress of work and support development and execution of progress enhancing measures by JFJV and subcontractor
o Keep oversight of the SB pipe spool production steps (fabrication – pressure testing/NDE – painting & packaging – loading to Break Bulk ships) at sub-contractor location (DEE) and highlight pro-actively where bottlenecks are appearing and need to be addressed by JFJV & (IW/Academy.
o If and as applicable do spot checks on loading of SB pipe spools in Break Bulk ships and if process is adequate to provide and meet safety and quality objectives for the SB pipe spool transportation to Kitimat site (proper packaging, proper loading, rigging, crating, etc.)
o Participate in weekly connect call meeting to discuss status / situation at sub-contractor location.
o Format of reports and content to be agreed with project management during first week of the assignment
- Ensure JFJV reporting accurately reflects the status at location for example, reasons for delays, materials availability, status of quality issues, manpower and competency
o Monitor if JFJV and subcontractor DEE are able to manufacture and produce the SB pipe-spools per agreed sequence and priorities of spools as defined and pursued to ensure that right spools with highest priorities will be delivered per pursued priority.
o Monitor if all SB pipe spools that are part of a certain priority (Construction Work Pack - CWP) will be completed and available – in case not all spool available validate with JFJV which spools will not be ready and included in CWP shipment when it is shipped and when remaining spools can be or are planned to be shipped.
o Monitor and report on available direct workforce available and assigned to LNGCanada project at the sub-contractor location – as applicable report any shortages of manpower.
- Act as an ambassador for personal safety on location
- Support and act as liaison for visiting LNGC inspectors and engineers providing quality inspection and discipline assurance
- Support accelerated feedback and decision making providing direct line between individual location and LNGC decision makers in support of local JFJV / subcontractor staff
- Highlight concerns back to LNGC directorate / LNGC team following up on SB pipe spool delivery.
- Confirm supports manufacturing is flanged up with the associated spools and isos and shipments are been arranged in a manner to assure delivery of both at site concurrently to the extent possible.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)

Experience:

• Mechanical Engineers: 5 years (preferred)
• piping: 5 years (preferred)
