General Overview

Nerva Energy Group, located in Hamilton, Ontario, is looking for a full-time contract Project Managerto join our growing company.

Nerva Energy is a Canadian energy consulting firm which delivers technology solutions for high-performance smart buildings to go beyond industry standards and create energy savings opportunities with exclusive award-winning technologies.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for serving Nerva’s clients by managing the installation and servicing of systems and technologies, while remaining aligned with the strategy, commitments, and goals of the company.

Contract Employment

This position will be hired under an 8 to 10-month contract. The contract will include a financial bonus structure with a substantial upside based on the successful completion of the scope of the work for Nerva’s client within the allotted time frame and achieving the required quality and customer services metrics.

If the contract is completed successfully, there is a high likelihood that a full-time permanent position with Nerva will be offered at its conclusion.

Responsibilities

· Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors

· Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget

· Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility

· Ensure resource availability and allocation

· Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress

· Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques

· Measure performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques

· Report and escalate to management as needed

· Manage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders

· Perform risk management to minimize potential risks

· Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

· Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project

· Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members’ individual strengths, skill sets, and experience levels

· Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals

· Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis

· Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members

· Use and continually develop leadership skills

· Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs

· Support operational and organizational missions by completing all tasks promptly and accurately

· Keep all customer information confidential

· Follow all Health & Safety, Environmental, ESA, TSSA, Building Code, and other applicable regulations

Technical skills, education, and experiences that are considered assets

· HVAC System experience

· Building Automation System experience

· Mid-level computer skills

· Electrical knowledge

· Mechanical aptitude

· Post-secondary and/or Trade-related coursework

Other skills, education, and experiences that are considered assets

· Proven, verifiable experience leading multi-million dollar projects

· Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 10 months

Salary: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year

Education:

Experience:

• Project management: 4 years (preferred)
• HVAC: 2 years (preferred)
• Building Automation System: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Drivers License (Class G) (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

• 50% (preferred)
