Project Manager - Architect AIBC

Our award-winning team is growing, and Barnett Dembek Architects is hiring aProject Manager - Architect AIBC to be based out of our Surrey office.

Our firms specialize in residential, mixed-use, commercial, and civic buildings. We are currently working on large scale projects including wood-frame multi family to residential high-rise projects.

About the Position:

We are seeking a Project Manager - Architect that must be registered with the AIBC. Intern Architect candidates will be considered depending on the stage of their Internship with AIBC.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

• Project Management;
  
• Handling Contracts;
  
• Client & City Liaison;
• Managing teams & providing staff direction.

Skills and Qualifications:

• 3+ years in a similar role in an architectural firm;
• Comprehensive knowledge of wood-frame construction;
• Thorough understanding of the BCBC and VBBL;
• Fluency in AutoCAD and/or Revit, and in Sketchup;
• Self-motivated with the ability to lead a team;
  
• Experience with preparation of Development Permits, Building Permits and Construction drawings;
• Experience working directly with clients and consultant coordination;
  
• Extensive experience with Contract Administration.
