Administrative Full-time Position

The Program Quality and Review Consultant is responsible for directing and facilitating the College’s established program quality assurance processes (Annual Program Reflection (APR), Major Program Review (MPR), and accreditations) in accordance with the Ministry, College Quality Assurance Audit Process (CQAAP), and other external accrediting bodies. The incumbent will work with School representatives and departments to ensure programs at all credential levels meet quality standards and best practices. In a fast-paced and challenging environment, the Program Quality and Review Consultant will provide project management and oversight to ensure the efficient and effective execution of program quality assurance processes for Conestoga’s schools, academic and service areas, and external bodies (where required).

The role requires strategic analysis of all relevant data and information, and facilitation of multiple small and large group meetings with internal and external stakeholders. The incumbent provides recommendations with tact and diplomacy in the areas of program design, delivery, strategic enrolment management and resources. The role involves building and maintaining productive relationships at all levels across the college to meet goals.

Successful candidates will be required to conduct work within Ontario and must be available to work on campus as required. It is anticipated that this position will meet the needs of the department through a hybrid work arrangement, primarily working remotely. When working on-site, this position will be primarily located at the 3065 King Street campus in Kitchener. The incumbent may be required to support other campus locations.

Responsibilities
  • Provides leadership, project management, and oversight to ensure the efficient and effective execution of major program review processes for Conestoga’s schools, academic service areas and accrediting external bodies
  • Reviews and interprets data to ensure accuracy in preparation for sharing with program team during Major Program Review
  • Employs a high-level of discretion and political sensitivity when providing strategic analysis of the data and recommendations to program teams
  • Leads and facilitates the strategic analysis of program data with small to large group meetings with internal and external stakeholders
  • Conducts thorough and rigorous evaluations of programs to identify any areas of non-compliance or regulatory violations
  • Leads the drafting of reports and documentation related to accreditation and reviews with program teams
  • Provides program-level recommendations to promote best practices, and ensure compliance with Conestoga and Ministry policies, Ministry program standards, accrediting bodies, and CQAAP Guidelines and Framework
  • Leads the development of corrective action plans for programs
  • Accountable for the recording of data to ensure analysis and plans are captured for audit purposes
  • Engages academic and college service areas to secure expertise needed at the appropriate points during the program review processes
  • Supports and facilitates professional development, workshops, and tutorials, and/or other related requirements for the program review processes and accompanying online systems
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s Degree preferred) in a relevant discipline such as Public Policy, Program Evaluation, or Education
  • Five years of experience in a similar capacity, working with interpreting regulations, and/or experience with regulatory and/or accrediting bodies
  • Experience working in the CAAT system or other Canadian post-secondary institutions
  • Knowledge of the teaching and learning process in the post-secondary environment
  • Action-oriented and collaborative approach for positive outcomes
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to deal with ambiguity and remain positive in adversity
  • Ability to move a team/individual from conflict to resolution
  • Excellent project management skills; Proven ability to manage projects of varying scope
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) is required
