Position Summary

Interior Health’s Penticton Regional Hospital (PRH) is looking for a knowledgeable Physiotherapist with experience in developing client evidence-based, outcome-focused intervention strategies consistent with the clients’ needs and goals in order to achieve optimal health outcomes. This is a relief part-time role until approximately May 2024, or return of incumbent.

What Will You Work On?

Reporting to the Physiotherapy Professional Practice Lead you will draw upon your ability to identify client and therapist expectations and the client’s desired functional status and quality of life; administer standardized tests and measures; promote functional independence; and enable clients to achieve and maintain optimal health outcomes.

How Will You Create Impact?

PRH is a 155-bed Acute Care facility in the Okanagan Health Service Area and responsible for providing core medical and surgical specialty services to surrounding population of approximately 90,000 people. As a member of the PRH multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, you will work independently and collaboratively providing physiotherapy services that include assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program planning, consultation, equipment prescription and education of clients and/or their caregivers.

Orientation includes dedicated time for online learning of Interior Health processes, 1:1 time with the practice lead, job shadowing of all team members and other orientation or experiential opportunities identified by the employee.

Qualifications
  • Current registration with the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia (CPTBC).
New Physiotherapy grads are welcome to apply with eligibility to obtain Interim CPTBC registration
