Job Description

Job Overview:

Reporting to the Patient Services Lead, Patient Services Manager will partner effectively with a wide range of internal stakeholders within Takeda Canada, as well as with our valued partners and external stakeholders. This individual will work closely and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including HCPs, vendors and other cross-functional brand team members to identify, implement and manage existing and new patient services programs across all relevant Takeda Rare Disease brands and undertake continuous improvement measures.

The successful candidate collaborates with the commercial and sales, access, medical and other cross functional leaders to ensure that services and services strategies are translated in customer and patient level action plans.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Leads the development and implementation of new patient program initiatives for existing Rare Disease brands and serves as the Patient Services (PSP) subject matter expert for new product launches and relevant brand initiatives.
  • Acts as a conduit between cross functional partners and PSP vendors, creating an effective forum to share PSP insights, and addressing any PSP related questions and escalations from the Takeda cross-functional teams and any customer escalations.
  • Manages the day-to-day operational needs of the Rare Disease Takeda PSP programs, ensuring initiatives and program operations are compliant with all relevant Takeda policies including quality, regulatory, compliance, legal and PV requirements.
  • Monitors KPIs associated with patient support programs, and partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure actionable insights are identified and opportunities maximized
  • Ensures alignment between Takeda and external partners, working together with cross functional partners, vendors, HCPs and Patient Organizations to understand the needs of the patients, caregivers and customers within Rare Disease environment to develop and implement value added patient services.

Education, Experience & Skills:

  • 5+ years of work experience in Pharmaceutical or Patient Service Provider (PSP) work environment
  • Educational background in Business or Scientific education (Biology, Chemistry or Nursing)
  • English/French bilingualism is an asset
  • Experience in Rare Disease an asset
  • Strong knowledge of rare disease reimbursement policies and practices in both the private and public sectors in Canada
  • Communication – strong verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Project management – ability to simultaneously create, lead and manage multiple complex projects
  • Cross-functional collaboration - demonstrated capability in partnering effectively with internal and external stakeholders
