NURSERY/MAINTENANCE WORKER (Full-Time Permanent)

J.D. Irving, Limited is currently seeking a NURSERY/MAINTENANCE WORKER for the Sussex Tree Nursery in Sussex, NB. Join us in growing trees for future generations.

Duties

• Assist with all aspects of plant care, including pruning, watering, potting and transplanting.
• Assist in grafting activities
• Pesticide application (training will be provided)
• Cleaning work areas as well as general cleaning and maintenance
• General greenhouse repairs and preventative maintenance
• Operating machinery such as forklifts and skid steers
  

Qualifications

• No experience required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Hardworking and reliable with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work alone and in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to handle heavy objects as needed
