Posting Title:Mechanical Engineer – Full Time

Summary

The candidate will perform design functions for well-defined projects related to manufacturing and assembly of electronic enclosure assemblies. Prototype fabrication and coordination with third party vendors is required to get the projects done in a timely manner to meet production schedules.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Gather and understand product requirements for assigned tooling projects
• Design jigs and fixtures for scaled up manufacturing electronics enclosure assemblies
• Data analysis
• Prototype fabrication
• Coordination of tooling manufacturing with vendors
• Internal support for complex interdisciplinary research and development projects
  

Essential Skills And Experience

Education

• Mechanical Engineering Degree with 5+ years of tooling design experience
• Professional Engineer preferred
  

Qualifications And Experience

• 5+ Years of tooling design experience
• Able to demonstrate completion of multiple successful tooling projects deployed in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working independently or design lead on tooling projects
• Sound understanding of GD&T
• CAD/CAM Proficiency – Solid Edge and Creo Parametric are an asset
• Understanding of common material and process standards
• Experience with metrology solutions such as CMM and other standard machinist methodologie
