Manufacturing Technologist 3

In your role, you will

• Take ownership of technical problem solving with support from other departments;
• Provide technical support to the day-to-day operations of the production department;
• Investigate root causes of problems and analyze potential solutions by evaluating the costs, impacts and risks of a change in production;
• Be on the lookout for ways to improve manufacturing and fabrication strategies and take part in research and development projects;
• Define, validate and correct assembly or repair and/or manufacturing specifications for the production of aircraft components;
• Interpret or approve drawings and other documents from the engineering department;
• Define the tools required for the manufacturing or assembly of aircraft components to ensure the required geometric tolerances;
• Harmonize the implementation of engineering changes or assembly strategies by working closely with the engineering, material logistics, quality and production departments;
• Ensure feasibility and plan changes requested by production and customers;
• Identify opportunities to eliminate non-value added by optimizing production.

As our ideal candidate

• You have a technical college degree and/or equivalent experience;
• You have experience in the manufacturing and aeronautical field (an asset) 3 to 5 years;
• You are comfortable reading technical drawings, have a good 3D visualization and an analytical mind;
• You have a developed logical sense and a mechanical mind;
• You have an excellent team spirit, you are known for your perseverance and your judgment;
• You are innovative and have a good decision-making process;
• You have a strong customer focus and good interpersonal skills;
• You are familiar with computer aided design software such as Catia, Enovia..;
• You are familiar with one or more Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
• You are fluent in French, both orally and in writing;
