Purpose:


Manager Customer Analytic supports Tangerine’s growth objectives by providing timely, relevant and accurate insights to assist in decision-making in managing the performance for the Growth Squads. This includes detailed analysis and reporting using a wide range of data sources and analytic tools to support critical business initiatives. As the analytic SME within the Growth Squad, They will work close with the Product Owner(s), Data Scientists, and Client Solutions leads, and Marketing teams to support strategic and tactical decision-making. They will also assist the Squads with planning, forecasting, ad hoc request, campaign targeting, reporting and strategic projects as they arise.


The Analytics Manager is responsible for detailed reporting specifically as it relates to key Growth Squad campaigns and business metrics. Including collaborating with the Product Owner(s) for developing business user requirements and business acceptance testing for production reports and envisioning and developing future analytic needs to ensure the ongoing quality and relevance of data and meet current and future information needs. They are also responsible for analyzing statistics and evaluating the impacts that various tests conducted via Client communications and offers


Key Accountabilities:


  • Become part of a high performing Growth Squad team that uses new and innovative analytical or presentation tools to identify and monitor portfolio quality, Client behaviors, and trends
  • Manage data analysis requests, involves gathering of business requirements from stakeholders, determine data sources, analyzing data, confirming findings and presenting results to key stakeholders, while meeting stakeholder’s expectations.
  • Lead the campaign targeting & segmentation efforts to drive campaign efficiencies and revenue optimization
  • Conduct deep-dives on past campaigns to derive insights & recommend opportunities to improve future performance
  • Develop a test & learn framework to ensure that each campaign is deployed with clear learning objectives
  • Develop new and enhancements to automate reports to meet campaign, channel and management needs as they relate to the campaigns and business metrics.
  • Ensure integrity of data used for analysis, reconciling data sources and developing quality checks as part of the analysis development process. Addressing data anomalies and creating resolutions to correct where necessary.
  • Work closely with internal and external department stakeholders on developing new analysis.
  • Collaborate and provide support on the Squad’s annual planning process, work on subsequent re-forecasts and adhoc stress testing initiatives as required
  • Provide adequate back-up for other Squad / Marketing team members as required.
  • Develop analysis in a consistent manner and templates/formats. Present findings during Sprint and business reviews
  • Collaborate with peers to ensure standard querying definitions are used, while sharing new ideas and recognizing those of your peer
  • Work closely with internal and external department stakeholders on developing new analysis.
  • Aid in providing support for time sensitive ad-hoc information requests, understanding the purpose and/or audience to be best positioned to provide the right solution every time


Requirements/Qualifications:


  • 3+ years analytical experience required including statistical analysis
  • Advanced SQL and SAS skills
  • Familiar with Big Data, Tableau and open source programming R, Python, Spark
  • Effective communicator with strong organizational skills
  • Customer focused and results oriented
  • Strong prioritizing, analytical, presentation, project management and planning skills


Preferred Qualifications:


  • 3+ years of experience in Banking, Retail, or Telco
  • Experience in Agile environment preferred



Education & Accreditations:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics or Statistics
  • Post Graduate degree in STEM - preferred
