We fulfill this mission through our commitment to client satisfaction by continuous training and ongoing investment in advanced innovative technology.*Wincon Security is hiring for full-time Loss Prevention Guards to work at our retail sites in Newcastle, ON.**Why work with Wincon?** Competitive wages starting at *$17.50 and above per hour!** Health and benefits package option*.** Extensive new hire training* Room for growth based on work performance.* Opportunities to continuous professional growth and development through training initiatives and employee recognition programs.*Job duties a Loss Prevention Guard:** Monitor closed circuit television to ensure protection of facilities and company property.* Identify, monitor and approach subjects who may have unpaid merchandise or those committing fraud (actively participate in floor walking duties), while blending into environments and carry out duties discreetly.* Input detailed and accurate incident reports documenting apprehensions* Escort trespassers away from client premises* Defuse potentially volatile situations and intervene when necessary* Escalate emergency situations to law enforcement as needed* Document theft and other security violations*Job Qualifications:** Valid Security License is required* Valid Driver’s license and own vehicle is an asset* Experience with arrests and detaining shoplifters* Knowledge of all 5 steps to an arrest/detainment of a shoplifter* Must be proficient in the English language, spoken, written, and via electronics* *Ability to reliably commute to various locations during shift as required** Open availability of 7 days a week* Superior observational skills* Knowledgeable on safety processes and procedures* Previous experience in security is an asset*About Us:*For almost 30 years, Wincon Security has delivered property monitoring and protective services to retail, commercial, residential, industrial, alarm response and condominium clients across the Greater Toronto Area.
