Meridian Manufacturing is currently looking for 2 Logistics coordinators. The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for working with the logistics and shipping teams, our customers, and sales teams to build and coordinate shipments.

Responsibilities

• Plan loads and prepare paperwork for deliveries of all disassembled product from Regina location
• Dispatch and plan drivers.
• Work with other company locations to ensure effective use of resources.
• Work with purchasing and inventory to coordinate intercompany transfers and inbound materials.
• Handle documentation and coordination of outside carriers.
• Work with Compliance Coordinator to ensure necessary customs, permits, etc. are ordered.
• Focus on achieving budget target for both revenue and expenses.

Confirming shipments and verifying accuracy using in house software

Education And Knowledge Required

• Minimum high school diploma or recognized equivalent from a recognized college required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
• Knowledge of logistics and manufacturing process. Meridian product knowledge is an asset.
• Knowledge of internal accounting processes and requirements for invoicing and freight accrual purposes (i.e., to understand paper flow).
• Good working knowledge of WERPS or similar inventory management program is required.
• Knowledge of production manufacturing workflow, plant layout, and processes for production scheduling and work order release purposes (i.e., learn paper flow of the plant)
  

Experience And Technical Skills Required

• 3 to 5 years of clerical/customer service experience; strongly preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of logistics experience is required. Experience in a similar industry is desired.
• International logistics experience an asset.
