Job Responsibilities
  • Co-ordinate all transport companies to delivery materials OTIF to meet internal and external stakeholder requirements
  • Liaise with CSR and Scheduler to ensure deliveries meet plant and customer requirements as well as other inter-company business requirements
  • Investigate, responsible and accountable for customer complaints related to logistics and is accountable for the timely implementation of all necessary corrective actions
  • Participate in Site S&OP processes and accountable for the collation, reporting and management of KPI within the logistics functionLiaise with contractors, suppliers and internal Hexion stakeholders (project level)
  • Prepare all material transfer delivery information within the scope of the logistics function and traded products;
  • Manage third party warehouse movements and inventory holdings;
  • Manage third party warehouse stock takes;
  • Managing customer resin tank levels where applicable;
  • Manage the transportation relationships including running meetings as required, setting KPI’s, incident recording and investigation;
  • Track non-optimal freight for major outages per occurrence and total NOF each month;
  • Track unrecovered freight and work with the commercial teams to recover costs;
  • Coordinate data collection and presentation of carrier performance metrics, providing collective results for all AU sites.
  • Coordinate freight provider driver inductions at plant and customer sites;
  • Maintaining and updating logistics procedures;
  • Review of Technical/Customer procedures for logistics input;
  • Printing delivery dockets for all bulk and packaged goods including 3rd party warehouses;
  • Ordering and managing stock levels for Toll manufactured and traded products including packaging materials;
  • Must communicate effectively with all related parties above and must proactively manage or escalate all exceptions or problems that arise.
  • Identify areas of improvement, potential cost savings projects, and serve as a subject matter export for logistical issues.
  • Attend and provide information for effective interactions/meetings with internal stakeholders such as Quality, Commercial and daily briefing
  • Effectively manage out of hours calls for Supply Chain issues;
  • Review and manage parked invoices in accordance with company procedures;
  • Contribute to and undertake project work as advised by Supply Chain Manager;

Minimum Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications relevant to the industry
  • Extensive working knowledge of SAP, MRP and/or equivalent computer-based logistics management systems
  • Proven experience in a similar logistics/supply chain role with working knowledge of import/export regulations and international goods trading
  • Working knowledge of trucking industry norms and proficient in all aspects of DG transport statute requirements in Australia
  • Working knowledge of various transport strategies and tactics
  • Working knowledge of MS Office suite of products and data analysis tools
  • Prior hands-on working knowledge and experience in hazardous chemical industry transport
  • Proven ability to work in a challenging environment dealing with conflicting priorities that requires initiative, flexibility and adaptability.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills and be capable of promoting the concepts of teamwork
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
