Firm Description

We are a small firm located in Barrhaven.

The Opportunity

One full-time position, available immediately, for a law clerk in the areas of wills and real estate.

We are looking for a hardworking individual capable of working independently under tight deadlines and multitasking in a small office environment.

Responsibilities

This individual would be responsible for the following:

· Meeting deadlines with respect to document preparation, including but not limited to wills and powers of attorney, purchases, sales, mortgages and refinancing;
· Corresponding with clients, third parties and other law offices;
· Answering telephone calls, emails and potential client inquiries;

Requirements

· Completion of the law clerk program or a combination of education and law firm experience;
· Ideally the successful candidate would have at least 1 year of relevant work experience, although all experience levels may be considered;
· Must have experience with wills and estates and/or residential real estate;
· Excellent computer skills, including typing and knowledge of WordPerfect and/or Microsoft Office Suite;
· Knowledge of practice relevant programs; and
· Knowledge of ESILAW, is an asset
