Lakeview Church Worship and Creative Arts Summer Intern

Role Summary:

This is a part time, 30 hours per week position for 8 weeks. The Worship and Creative Arts Intern will be responsible for supporting the Worship Arts Pastor in all aspects of worship by serving in a musical and administrative capacity. This role requires the abilities to facilitate worship and relationally invest in the lives of our community.

Requirements:

• Fully aligned with the mission and postures of Lakeview Church
• Experience working or volunteering in Worship Ministry.
• Communication, interpersonal and administrative skills
• Ability to sing and/or play an instrument in a live setting.
• Self motivated with initiative and creativity in undefined situations.
• Committment to personal times of prayer and worship.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support for the Worship and Creative Arts Ministry.
• Experience working or volunteering in Worship Ministry.
• Attend weekly meetings for personal check-ins, strategy and prayer for the community.
• Assist with Sunday morning and special worship services.
• Help lead worship through song by singing and/or playing a musical instrument.
• Assist with collaboration in song writing.

Learning Experiences

• Developing communication skills.
• Experience working in a church setting.
• Learning the overall design strategy and consistency behind communication across all ministries in the church.

Job Types: Part-time, Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 8 weeks
Part-time hours: 30 per week

Salary: $15.00 per hour

Education:

• Secondary School (preferred)
