Job Description

American Iron & Metal is a growth-oriented metal recycling and processing company located in Hamilton, Ontario. We are currently recruiting for aJr. Financial Analystfor ourHamiltonlocation.

You will be responsible for:

• Servingas the go-to person in the Ontario Region (20+ sites) for all inventory accounting questions
• Coordinatingand performing month-end inventory close process
• Analyzinginventory and investigate anomalies on a regular basis
• Monitoringconsignment inventory held at our business partner location
• Participatingand actingon process improvement initiatives
• Providingvalue-added cost reporting and analysis to the Regional Business Unit on critical processes and assets of the business
• Participatingin the integration of new sites
• Minimal travel required for regional site visits
  
  

Qualifications

• 1+ Years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Self-motivated with the ability to multitask
• Ability to extract, manipulate and analyze data from multiple systems/sources and databases
• Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail
