About This Role

We are an enterprise servicing platform build and manage home grown Digital OMNI Messaging solution utilized by the entire organization. As a product team IT Developer III, you must thrive in a software engineering role and naturally be collaborative & transparent team member. You will be part of a strong engineering team with the key focus on building new capabilities and ensuring taking the solution to the production by following DevOps practices. We are part of Next Evolution of Work (NEW) Servicing Product Group Common Service Product Family with the full adoption of TD Scaled Agile practice (TDSA). We are embarking on an interesting transformation change to operate in NEW model with the strong emphasize on product culture value driven mindset.

Here’s Some Of What You May Be Asked To Perform

• Transform business requirements and research into winning delivery solutions that meet performance goals.
• Rigorously build and test applications.
• Perform systems administration: monitor, configure, back-up, authenticate, tune.
• Aim for defect-free programming, create and maintain quality code, provide support during testing cycles and post-production deployment, engage in peer code reviews.
• Contribute to project plans, estimations and status updates.
• Identify issues, develop and maintain processes that address and resolve them, (and be sure to communicate/alert stakeholders as needed).
• Focus first and foremost on day-to-day activities.
• Help make enhancements and troubleshoot.
• Configure and develop custom components with technology partners (analysts, developers, designers etc.) to meet requirements and goals.
• Make sure applications are free of common coding vulnerabilities (and follow standard security practices).
• Proactively put forward ideas that speak to project objectives (e.g. development, testing solutions, and tools).
• Complete unit and integration testing (per standards and design specs.
• Take part in scope assessment, risk and cost analysis.
• Respect TD’s technology delivery practices and standards, project management disciplines.
• Stay on top of state-of-health monitoring and monthly SLA targets.
• Apply and share technical expertise during incident management life cycle (e.g. analyzes reports and outages, perform impact assessments, facilitate stakeholder communication).
  

Job Requirements

What can you bring to TD? Share your credentials, but your relevant experience and knowledge can be just as likely to get our attention. It helps if you have:

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in technology programs (preferably software engineering or computer science)
• Minimum of 2-3 years of strong hands-on software development experience
• Have a strong technology background as a full stack (Java primarily) developer with the great understanding of modular service oriented architecture to build a large scale enterprise application
• Excellent Database knowledge and hands on experience managing a large Oracle database; MS SQL will be an added advantage
• Building REST API, microservice, container solutions
• Familiar with large batch file based solution using Apache Camel integration framework
• Familiar with Autosys to handle process scheduling
• Familiar with TIBCO file transmission process
• DevOps practices including CI/CD, Jenkins, test automation
• Vulnerability scan tools
• Log management tools like Splunk
• Embrace on learning mindset to take each task as a challenge to learn and share the knowledge as a way of continuous improvement
• Act with ownership culture to drive meaningful change that aligns with the overall enterprise product vision
• Mentor entry level developers within and outside of the team
• Be an active player in PoC and Solution Design Thinking
