Our client is an industry leader in the distribution of chemicals and related dispensing systems. They work with customers to offer value-added products, solution-driven initiatives and innovative new processes. The business is searching for an Industry Manager - Agriculture based out of their Guelph, Ontario office, generating business with new and existing agricultural customers across North America.

Reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, the Industry Manager - Agriculture will be responsible for agricultural account management, agricultural business development and agricultural industry development for North America.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Generate sales by identifying new opportunities
• Establish and maintain business relationships with existing and new clients
• Negotiate pricing and contract terms with prospects and clients and work closely with other cross-functional departments to review, edit and finalize contracts
• Develop contact and strategic account plans
• Provide guidance to the organization on products and service requirements in the Agricultural Industry
• Develop Agricultural Industry product portfolio on an ongoing basis
• Achieve or exceed revenue and margin targets
• Lead marketing efforts for the Agricultural Industry

DESIRED PROFILE:

• University education in agriculture, science, biology, chemistry, engineering or other relevant field
• Minimum 10 years experience in the Agricultural Industry
• Minimum 7 years experience in marketing and sales
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• Understanding of processes and chemical technologies in the Agricultural Industry
• Demonstrated ability to open and close business sales
• High initiative, self-motivated and results oriented
