ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The Human Resources & Payroll Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring all payroll processes, benefits, and general human resources administration runs smoothly. You’d be the first point of contact for any related inquiries from employees and will provide valuable support for the HR team.

ABOUT THE POSITION

Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources & Payroll Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Support employees with HR, payroll, benefit, and policy questions, escalating when necessary.
  • Help with recruitment, record-keeping, and HR documents.
  • Process payroll, handle reporting, and manage expenses.
  • Aid in performance reviews, training coordination, and benefits administration.
  • Assist with system setups and maintain HR files.
  • Support compliance and health and safety duties.
  • Ad hoc tasks as needed.

THE REQUIREMENTS

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in human resources, business administration, or a related field
  • HR or payroll certificate, completed or in progress
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in human resources
  • Experience in financial services or corporate industries
  • Knowledge of full-cycle payroll processes
  • Experience using Ceridian or an HRIS software is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Strong organizational skills, and able to multitask and prioritize effectively

COMPENSATION

  • $65,000 to $70,000, depending on experience
  • 3 weeks’ vacation + personal days + volunteer days
