  • Develop, update, and maintain personnel policies, policy manuals and employee handbook as required. Review and revise HR policies in compliance with changing or new legislation.
  • Must have at least 1-2 years of High-Volume recruiting experience.
  • Must have bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or another related field.
  • Must have knowledge of human resources principles, legalities, various employment laws and practices.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on ESA and employment legislation issues.
  • Represent organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations, including but not limited to meetings with the Ministry of Labor, WSIB, and the Human Rights Tribunal.
  • Must have proven candidate sourcing and relationship building skills.
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.
  • Ability to work with various departments and foster teamwork.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Skills in database management and record keeping.
  • Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work.
  • Source and recruit candidate(s) using a variety of channels, such as job postings and social media, while effectively targeting the right kinds of candidates for the job.
  • Perform all necessary candidate screening to ensure their qualifications meet job description (i.e., schedule screening, technical interviews, reference check, skills testing, background check, etc.).
  • Manage candidate experience, including positioning the opportunity and company, and conducting phone screens.
  • Summarize feedback, make hiring recommendations, and manage the offer process while maintaining continuous communication with candidates through the entire process.
  • Successfully track progress of the candidates.
  • Develop creative recruiting resources and networking activities to attract qualified employees interested in contract, contract to hire and direct placement employment.
  • Identify and participate in networking activities such as representing at career fairs and cold calling on educational institutions.
  • Creatively and effectively use social media to develop our professional network.
  • Hours are from 7:00am - 5:00pm
