In accordance with Northern Health’s vision and values, the HR Assistant supports the delivery of human resource services to managers, employees, and other Northern Health staff by providing general information on human resources policies/procedures and collective agreement provisions, initiating and maintaining computerized databases, and providing administrative support to the HR Operations department, including composing and completing human resources and labour relations related documentation.
Starting salary will be approximately from $55,677 to $69,596 and will be based on education, training, experience, and salaries of similar positions.

- Diploma in Human Resource Management and three (3) years recent, related experience.
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively, both internally and externally.
- Ability to type at 50 wpm.
- Ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of team.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
- Ability to operate related equipment including computer software applications.
