Goodkey Show Services Ltd. is one of Western Canada’s most experienced full-service display contractors, servicing the tradeshow industry and beyond since 1996.
_We are seeking a Graphics Designer, with working experience in the sign industry for immediate placement._

Major job tasks: exchanging email with clients, proofing, signage management, problem solving, coordination of projects and print production.

Essential Job Functions

• Communicate directly with our clients on signage and design requirements
• Prepare proofs of artwork for our clients, receive feedback and make changes as needed to achieve clients vision
• Prepare supplied artwork for printing, fix any problems with the art
• Create layouts for Goodkey internal forms, labels, show calendars, manual and order forms
• Communicate with production staff and Installers to ensure all job details are communicated and followed
• Closely monitor show dates and production output to ensure deadlines are met
• Calculate materials & time needed to complete jobs
• Ensuring quality control is followed
• Manage high volume email communication
• Work on show site on larger events to ensure signs are delivered to correct booth, supervise installation and produce onsite signs
• Helping in sign production during on site or slow season
• Work overtime and weekends during the busy season
• Participate in health and safety meetings

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary Education in a related field of study (Graphic Design, Graphic Communications)
• Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
• Microsoft Office
• 1+ years working in the sign industry
• Able to effectively work in a busy environment
• Able to work under pressure
• Experience working in Tradeshow environment / Exhibits / Octo-Cad is considered an asset
• Experience working with RIP software, operating large format printer ,vinyl plotters or hands on sign production experience considered an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
