Hotspex Media (www.hotspexmedia.com) uses software to help our customers buy the right ads to grow their business. We’re the top-rated media planning buying agency in Canada, partnering with brands like Under Armour and The Home Depot. We need your help to solve challenging problems in the programmatic ads space.

As a product-minded Full Stack Developer, you’ll drive innovation across new ad-tech products. You’ll have the opportunity to choose the best tech stack and build a new product from the ground up. You will be accountable for the success of project implementations and the resources required to deliver the project outcomes. The primary objective is to design and develop a high quality dynamic front-end web application powered by Javascript, producing innovative user features for Agency partners that advance their media buying capabilities.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and develop a modern, usable cloud-based web app (e.g. Javascript, React, Vue, Angular, or whatever frontend tech you prefer)

• Produce design guidelines to ensure consistency of formatting, navigation, layout and interactions across all aspects of the web application.

• Deploy a responsive design for use across multiple devices / viewports (Desktop, Tablet, Mobile)

• Create an interactive tool that will allow them to select a range of emotional attributes.

• Enable the preview of prospective URLs, videos, and/or YouTube content creators that match their criteria by looking up classified records in our database, thereby instilling confidence and trust in our data.

• Automate the process of selecting and purchasing emotional media placements

• Connect, store, and visualize media performance data of Reticle signals (by campaign) to help advertisers store historical data, draw insights, and achieve incremental performance gains from one campaign to the next.

• Produce innovative user features for Agencies and DSPs that advance media buying capabilities

• Create a nested hierarchy between agencies, accounts, and projects, creating user permissions to limit visibility and editing function

• Making it easy to create a plan (i.e. selection of signals, media placement, and view prospective contest) and export the platform plans in a more shareable format (ex. JPG or ppt).

• Collaborate with customers and the internal team to shape requirements and iteratively deliver quality product

• Interface Creation and Testing

• Reporting and Analytics

What You’ll Bring

• 2+ years of experience are required

• Strong familiarity with backend and frontend systems

• Previous experience with AdTech is a plus

• Knowledge of Javascript

• Knowledge of Python

• Foster an environment of engineering excellence and innovation

• Mentorship experience and the ability to grow your people

• Experience operating successfully in ambiguous environments

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Pay: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
