Facility Supervisor

Position Overview

The Facility Supervisor will maintain a productive and efficient custodial team, coordinate general maintenance activities and inspections, acquire and maintain inventory, and perform semi-skilled maintenance support and housekeeping tasks on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Supervising a small team of custodial staff, including performance evaluations, career development and training
• Make periodic visits to zones to ensure productivity, safety and security of staff and premises
• Performing semi-skilled maintenance support, repair and housekeeping tasks
• Coordinating inspections and general maintenance and repair activities
• Moving office furniture and setting up areas for meetings
• Participating in the budgeting process and preparing requisitions for the purchase of supplies, equipment, tools, or repairs

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent, along with electrical/mechanical skills training or experience
• Two or more years of supervisory or management experience
• Physical capability including crawling, squatting, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel
• The ability to meet the requirements outlined in the Canadian Controlled Goods Program
• The ability to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Reliability level
