Electronics Repair Technician, Afternoon Shift

Position Details:

• Permanent, Full-Time
• On-Site (No Remote Eligibility)
• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Shift: Training (Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.,) The required shift is Afternoon Shift, Monday to Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 12 a.m.. L ocation: Oakville, Canada Su mm ar y : As an Electronics Repair Specialist , the successful incumbent will have electronics manufacturing experience with both surface mount and through hole component technologies. You specialize in troubleshoot/debug, rework, repair and building of various assemblies at various levels of completion with good hand, eye coordination with these technologies. You will have good re-work experience and excellent soldering skills to perform RMA repair jobs. Excellent understanding of IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards, IPC-A-610 certification preferred but not required for this position. T he primary responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:
• Conduct quality control for all MRI RMA products to meet commercial standards and customer satisfaction.
• Test all MRI RMA products, to validate the failures.
• Report and log all defects to RMA Repair Database.
• Performs inspection, using magnifying devices to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
• Repair, assemble and test electronic products (LED display modules, controllers, etc.)
• Diagnose and locate circuit and component’s fault within PCBAs using circuit schematics, BOMs, datasheets, visual inspection and Troubleshooting techniques with multimeter.
• Touch-up, soldering, desoldering, cleaning of surface mount and through hole components, pads, manual potting application etc. as per IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards.
• Use specialized PCB rework tools, microscope, soldering Iron, hot air, etc. for surface mount components (SMDs) and through hole components.
• Keep immediate and nearby work areas and equipment in safe, clean, and orderly condition.
• Report any unsafe or abnormal conditions or opportunities for continual improvement to direct Supervisor.
• Work collaboratively with other team members and leadership.
• Additional responsibilities and duties as assigned. R e qu i re m e n t s / Qualifications: A cademic Training:
• Vocational school certificate or college degree required. Work Experience:
• Experience in troubleshoot, rework of electronic PCBAs,
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment an asset.
• Good knowledge on PC, system, server repair and troubleshooting. Specific Competencies:
• Good operation software skills in Windows and MS Office.
• Capable of self-motivated hard work with a positive attitude.
• Must be a team player, ability to work under pressure.
• Disciplined, proactive and shows initiative. Work Conditions: Physical Demands: Office environment with prolonged sitting, typing, and phone usage. Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals. Lifting or moving boxes up to 50 lbs. may be required.
