As Our Project Manager/Estimator (PME) You

• Review and understand job specifications and drawings and follow through with estimating process to develop competitive bids
• Conduct site/tender walk-through to cross reference drawings to avoid site interferences and identify proactive solutions.
• Produce material and labour take-off through estimating software to develop accurate quotations.
• Communicate with clients to gather information, clarify specification, wording, etc.
• Coordinate with sub-contractors and suppliers to obtain pricing to include within the final quotation provided to client.
• Participate in closing the bid, including bid review meeting, etc.
• Participate in hand over meeting with Project management team after award
• Prioritize and promote leadership in health and safety
• Actively participate in pre-job planning activities including estimate turnover, project kick off meetings, subcontractor selection, material handling strategies, and risk and opportunities review for improved productivity and profitability.
• Monitor, document and report on project schedule, work in progress, cost control, and financial forecasts, in line with documented project success plan.
• Plan and monitor labour/manpower productivity and performance.
• Build strong relationships with team members, clients, GCs and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
  

Our Ideal Candidate Has

• An Electrical Engineering degree or diploma or released education and/or trade experience
• Minimum three (3) years of Estimating and/or Project Management experience within the electrical construction industry; trade experience an asset
• An Electrical Engineering degree or diploma or released education and/or trade experience
• Experience in Microsoft Office; with Accubid Pro and/or Enterprise, Live Count a definite asset
• Experience managing large scale electrical commercial and institutional projects.
