Your Opportunity:

Alberta Precision Laboratories (APL) is currently seeking a number of temporary full-time drivers to assist with our COVID response. This is a perfect opportunity for a current part-time driver to increase their FTE on a temporary basis. This professional courier will have superb customer service and will be responsible for the pickup and delivery or specimens, supplies, and patient reports from APL sites and physicians’ offices. . The successful applicant will be transporting many specimen transport containers, supplies, reports, etc. while driving varying distances. Drivers also will be walking and climbing stairs, it is a very active position.

Description:

As a Driver I, you will transport a range of products including, but not limited to, mail, packages, medical supplies, equipment, food and linen, in accordance with AHS standards, regulations and policies. Working independently, you must adhere to scheduled routes, as well as ad hoc requests, in a safe and courteous manner. You will be expected to perform a series of routine duties such as logging mileage, cleaning vehicles, performing pre and post vehicle inspections and reporting defects and malfunctions to management.
