Out-of-Scope

The successful candidate will be responsible forthe delivery and benefits realization of modern workplace experience strategies for SGI and SGI CANADA,ensuring the intended experience is delivered in aconsistent and disciplined manner across the organizationaccording to best practices (following the Customer Experience Management Framework [CXMF]). You will be responsible for establishing governance and operationalizing the CXMF competencies as it relates to delivering employee modern workplace experience strategies. You will also oversee the management andcoordination of a portfolio of modern workplace experienceinitiatives, influenceand assist with thebusiness areas to adopt modern workplace practices, anddevelop and implement metrics to measure the impact of modern workplaceimplementations and improvements.You will require strong leadership and communication skillsto exert influence and reinforce change across other divisions to help transform modern workplace experience best practices into business as usual.

Key Accountabilities

Modern Workplace Strategy Delivery
  • Delivers modern workplace strategies, including adoption of CXMF Measurement and Governance strategies, both at a corporate and individual employee interaction level.
  • Maintains a dedicated queue of modern workplace improvement initiatives and ensures alignment and prioritization of projects with both corporate and divisional strategies.
  • Establishes and leads practices to collaborate with business units to understand business objectives and current state processes, and challenge existing process to make recommendations and implement modern workplace solutions and capabilities.
  • Establishes and oversees employee experience and modern workplace technology innovation research processes and applies this information into decision making when prioritizing, implementing, and enhancing modern workplace practices.
  • Collaborates with and influences management and employees to adopt modern workplace practices to achieve maximum business value in modern workplace investments and elevate the organizations modern workplace maturity in alignment with Information Technology (IT) strategies.
  • Reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and assess the benefits realized by modern workplace technology.
  • Collaborates with other corporate experience areas to ensure consistent practices are followed and modern workplace initiatives delivered are aligned with experience delivery to other target audiences.
Change Management
  • Supports and provides input to change management and communication strategies and plans to corporately drive intended adoption and operationalization of modern workplace experience practices and solutions.
  • Influences business areas to gain commitment and participation in changing behaviour and practices required to deliver the intended modern workplace employee experience.
  • Oversees modern workplace adoption and intended usage learning to change employee behaviours and departmental processes to align to modern workplace strategy objectives and desired outcomes.
  • Mentors and coaches management in leading their direct reports in the delivery of the intended modern workplace experience.
Project Management
  • Oversees the management and coordination of a portfolio of modern workplace projects impacting the employee technology experience on behalf of the business area.
  • Assesses opportunities and initiatives for alignment to intended modern workplace strategy and practice.
  • Collaborates with Systems to establish and maintain governance over modern corporate workplace solutions available to employees.
People Leadership
  • Builds a high performing workforce by actively leading human resource activities.
  • Ensures development of divisional succession plans.
  • Builds a culture of leadership and accountability to effectively deliver on strategic and corporate strategies, ensuring integration with employee performance development and career development plans.
  • Drives performance through team members and is committed to leadership development across the company, supporting employees and workforce readiness through mentoring, training, and developmental opportunities.
Corporate Management
  • Ensures programs and policies are in alignment with corporate, strategic, and divisional strategies.
  • Manages risk in area of authority.
  • Prepares, reviews, manages, and/or approves departmental/divisional budgets.
  • Prepares decision requests, decision and/or information items, and/or SGI board items.
  • Ensures that the Health, Safety and Emergency Management Policy is applied in area of responsibility, including development, implementation, and managing of program components specific to departmental health and safety requirements.
  • Makes decisions for departmental operations that are efficient, effective, and in alignment with strategic direction and priorities.
  • Ensures department and program policies, procedures, and guidelines are in compliance with applicable federal and provincial legislation and regulations; implements and evaluates changes to legislation and regulations in area of authority.
  • Establishes and maintains an effective system of internal controls to support reliable financial reporting and compliance in accordance with applicable laws and regulations within the span of control and communicates the importance of internal controls to staff.
Education And Experience
  • Four-year degree from an accredited post-secondary education institution in a relevant field of study, such as Business or Information Technology.
  • Ten years experience comprised of 6 years of leadership and 4 years technical experience in experience management and design.
  • Change Management certification.
  • Business Relationship Management certification.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Knowledge of business relationship management disciplines and best practices.
  • Knowledge of experience management and design disciplines and best practices.
  • Knowledge of modern workplace concepts, processes, and solutions.
  • Knowledge of change management methodologies and techniques.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and techniques required to plan, manage, and execute projects.
  • Knowledge of the methods, techniques and procedures used in the review of multiple complex and unrelated business processes and practices.
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry and SGI/SGI CANADAs structure.
  • Knowledge of strategy development.
  • Knowledge of organizational units and how they interact to support the corporations operations.
  • Knowledge of techniques used for facilitation, training, and adoption.
  • Skill in developing proposals, presenting recommendations, and making decisions which have a direct impact.
  • Abiliy to define and manage project and operating budgets.
Pay Range:$98,796.00 - $131,736.00
