We are growing! We now have an office of 6 lawyers and are looking for new talent to join our team. McLeod & Schneiderat Lawyers is a law firm with offices in Penticton, Summerland, and Osoyoos. We work in a number of different practice areas, including civil litigation, corporate and commercial law, family law, real estate, and wills, trusts, and estate planning. We are dedicated to providing effective, pragmatic and cost-efficient legal services tailored to our clients needs.

Our main office in Penticton is seeking a corporate assistant. We are looking for an individual who is personable, detail oriented and wanting to join our amazing and growing team. This individual will need to be organized, reliable and able to multi-task while performing important tasks around the office.

Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Preparing BC and Canadian corporation annual reports
• Preparing and filing incorporation documents
• Preparing dividend resolutions
• Drafting of legal documents as necessary
• Reporting to and corresponding with clients
• Managing incoming an outgoing mail, scheduling appointments, and managing calendars

Experience with the any of following would be considered an asset but are not required:

• E-Corp
• BCOnline
• Esi-Law

What you will bring:

• Reliability
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Willingness to learn
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft office (word & outlook)
• Attention to detail and ability to work with confidential information
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience in an office environment would be considered an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $42,900.00-$58,500.00 per year

• 8 hour shift

• Penticton, BC V2A 5C5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

• Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

• Office: 1 year (preferred)
