Rosenau Transport Ltd is currently seeking a full time Controller with 3- 5 years’ professional experience Senior Accountant position, in full cycle accounting. This position is located in our Edmonton Corporate Head Office and will report to the Director of Finance.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial reporting for the company including external reporting matters
• Plan and execute monthly financial close process including variance analysis
• Conduct financial analysis, identify trends, and provide strategic recommendations to support decision-making processes
• Oversee Full Cycle accounting process and assist with cost controls activities
• Maintain and test internal controls and procedures
• Manage company cash-flows and on-line banking platforms and provide weekly reports to senior management
• Continuously evaluate existing financial processes and systems, identifying opportunities for improvement and implement to enhance efficiencies.
• Oversee and mentor the Accounting Department providing guidance and support through a positive culture while promoting continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Transportation/Logistics/Warehouse Industry experience an asset
• Candidate must hold CPA
• Finance/Accounting Degree;
• 3 - 5 years Full Cycle Accounting at a senior level (Inter-departmental, year-end; budget experience)
• Strong analytical and business acumen focus;
• Intermediate to Advanced MS Office/Excel experience
• AS400; or similar In-house ERP experience required

Job Type: Full-time
