Pocketed is hiring a Content Creator & Copywriter to join our rapidly growing software startup!

Pocketed helps businesses across North America easily access billions of dollars in free money (aka grants and tax credits). We’re a female-founded, female-led company with a bold vision: to give entrepreneurs the power to create and build businesses without financial barriers. Today, more than 1,200 businesses use Pocketed to access grant funding and tax credits to extend their runway and grow their business.

Key Responsibilities:

As our Content Creator & Copywriter, you will play a critical role in creating valuable content for our users and bringing our brand to life! This role is equal parts strategy and execution. Some projects are juicy, others are more of the "put your head down and power through" variety. An average day could see you crafting social media content calendars with snappy captions for external links, writing branded blog posts, and brainstorming ideas for a new white paper. More specifically, you will be responsible for:

• Content Creation:Writing blog content, creating white papers, developing articles, crafting compelling email content, and more! This will include a lot of ideation to come up with content ideas that meaningfully add value, conducting blog interviews, developing case studies, etc.

• Social Media Content Creation: You will be responsible for creating, writing, editing, and sharing social media content that builds meaningful B2B audience connections and achieves results. This includes writing compelling captions and creating on-brand graphics!
• PR Pitches & Briefs:Helping to build our reputation! This can include identifying potential partners, submitting PR pitches, establishing our presence on emerging platforms like Clubhouse and more. We want your ideas!
• Learning & Development:Staying fresh is critical! You will spend time researching our market, customers, and competitors to identify opportunities, strengths and weaknesses to inform our digital marketing strategy. This could include listening to podcasts, attending webinars, reading articles and more!

Your Qualifications:

You approach the world with curiosity and desire to learn. You are proactive and resourceful. If you don’t know an answer, you will find it! You’re relentlessly solution-focused, dedicated to solving complex problems. You love to iterate and experiment. The pace, energy, and uncertainty of startup get you excited!

• You completed post-second education ideally from a journalism, creative writing, communications, business, marketing, or related program.
• You’re a wordsmith, a grammar stickler, a writer, a poet ... you get the jist.

• You have previous experience creating content, including social media captions, blog posts, articles and tools for B2B audiences.

• You’re interested in business and love solving problems. If you’re interested in the world of entrepreneurship, startups, grants, and helping businesses succeed!
• You give a damn about creating impact and delivering experiences that delight, so you want to be part of (and contribute to) a performance-oriented culture. You understand that culture is only as strong as the sum of its parts, and you’re all in on contributing positively.

• You are flexible and agile, adapting quickly in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Your Benefits:

In this role you will work closely with a tight-knit founding team to rapidly design and build new generation solutions to real-world problems. As part of our technical team, you will have the full support of our CEO, part-time CMO, marketing team, external marketing specialists, and access to the entire tech team.
