Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and engaging storyteller to join the Communications team at Compass Group Canada. Working from our head office in Mississauga, this candidate will work with stakeholders across our various business lines to develop engaging content for our associates, current and prospective clients, and employment candidates. The content will speak to many different stakeholders, but you speak with the same voice - one that is fun, passionate about hospitality, and cares about making a positive impact on the world through our operations.
Now, if you were to come on board as our Communications Coordinator, we’d ask you to do the following for us:
  • Developing content to support various initiatives across our business, including but not limited to business operations, marketing, corporate social responsibility, associate recognition, diversity and inclusion, and culinary innovation.
  • Day to day management of digital channels
  • Content development for digital channels including social media, Nudge (internal social network), Intranet and corporate website
  • Liaison with sectors to build network of champions and content creators
  • Develop and maintain the Compass Group Canada voice. You deliver more than just information. You communicate our passion for hospitality, our clients, our people, and the people we serve.
Think you have what it takes to be our Communications Coordinator? We’re committed to hiring the best talent for the role. Here’s how we’ll know you are the best fit:
  • Minimum university degree in communications; English, Arts or Marketing
  • 3-5 years’ communications experience, with strong experience in social media content development
  • Strong understanding of the digital landscape
  • Ability to tell a complex story in 2-3 sentences
  • PR certification (Preferred)
  • Adobe Suite (Preferred)
  • Other technical skills certification such as graphic design will be an asset
  • SharePoint knowledge is an asset
