HIRING!! Our client in surrey is hiring Machine operators in Surrey, BCResponsibilities Set up and operate one or more computerized or manual woodworking machines. Operate controls, set offsets, and inspect parts for conformance to requirements. Operate pre-set special-purpose woodworking machines to fabricate wood products. Load and remove completed workpieces manually (able to lift 50lbs) Read paperwork to select jobs and understand the work required to be done on the machine. Operate gluing machines to glue pieces together or press and affix wood veneer to woodsurfaces. Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment. Measure the finished product to ensure accuracy. Detect equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust the machine if able or report any issues to the supervisorRequirements On-time and reliable. 1+ year experience operating machinery required, using an edge bander, or cabinetryexperience would be an asset. Accuracy using a tape measure, and callipers would be an asset. Able to lift 50 pounds and stand, walk, bend, etc. for 8 hours a day. Good English reading, writing, and comprehension skills. Time management, prioritization skills, and attention to detail Self-motivated and can work without direct supervisionMONDAY-FRIDAYTIME: 6:45AM-3:15PMPAY: $18-20GoToJob Staffing Solutions specialize in providing (full cycle recruitment services) for permanent positions.
