Mad Science is looking for Instructors to join our team in leading our Summer Camp Programs.

Mad Science has been operating in Calgary making science fun and exciting for children since 1996. Other areas of business include: in-class workshops for preschool - grade 6 classrooms, in-school science clubs, after-school programs, award-winning birthday parties and special events.

Our Science Camps are filled with fun interactive demonstrations and hands-on activities that get kids excited about science and the world around us.

Camps Run: Monday to Friday.

Various locations throughout Calgary.

Approx. 8:30 am - 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.

35 - 40+ Hours per week @ $18/hour.

Camps run for 7 weeks from July 2 - August 16 and requires a full commitment to all 7 weeks.

Full Training on camp content late May and June (approximately 20 hours).

Ideal Position for Education Students and those that have experience working with children in an instructional position.

Suitable candidates MUST have:

- Experience WORKING with children in an educational, recreational or sports related environment where instruction and class management was required of you. Sorry, babysitting does not count.

- Reliable vehicle. Transportation of equipment is required 2 - 3 times per week to and from the camp’s location and the Mad Science office and warehouse.

- Be able to commit to all 7 weeks. First day of Camp is July 2. Last day of Camp is August 16.

- First Aid and CPR

- Possess or be willing to obtain Police Security Clearance with vulnerable sector check.

NOTE: Additional flexible and long-term work is available in other areas of our business:

- We are currently looking for people to work immediately on the weekends to conduct our award-winning parties (starting pay $30/event).

- Long-term work is available after camps are done to teach our in-class workshops and science clubs in the schools, as well as doing parties on the weekends.
