About the Role

The Business Systems Project Manager is the point person between Configuration Management (CM), and business stakeholders, responsible for leading the development and execution of strategic vision and initiatives for the L3 Harris PLM (Teamcenter) and supporting from a CM perspective the LN ERP & MES systems;

Primary Responsibilities

• Responsible for all planning, budgeting, monitoring and reporting activities on CM initiatives affecting WESCAM business systems;
• Interface with the stakeholders to understand the business needs, and align PLM projects’ objectives with company goals;
• Represent the CM in the high-level Continuous Improvement initiatives, affecting WESCAM business systems, to understand CM requirements and plan actions accordingly;
• Evaluate and prioritize continuous improvement requests, for the PLM system, from the organization;
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, monitoring and managing their scope;
• Act as a liaison between CM and other functions to coordinate, evaluate and prioritize projects impacting WESCAM business systems;
• Manage Business Systems projects by defining clear objectives, schedules, allocation of resources and monitor progress to completion;
• Coordinate with CM BAs to deliver and implement technology solutions;
• Maintain focus on overall objectives and support teams in unblocking the issues that keep us from hitting key results;
• Ensure key project stakeholders are aware of progress, next steps and action items as it relates to complex multi-disciplinary initiatives affecting WESCAM business systems;
• Problem solve dynamically with issues within and outside your domain to balance the impact on project’s deliverables;
• Manage the communication cadences of releases, training, and planning cycles, through existing and new channels for a given project;
• Foster partnership with customers/ sponsors by providing regular status reports regarding Planned or Ongoing CM Initiatives/Projects;
• Maintain working relationships with vendors in support of activities like: assessment, procurement, budget management, and relationship management;

• Facilitate collaboration with internal and external experts when functional and configuration updates are identified;
• Understand our Business Systems use cases and identify innovative ways to increase efficiency to teams through tools and process adoption;

Desired Education and Experiences

• Bachelor Degree and 4+ years of relevant experience of Project Management;
• Highly proficient in project management, budget management, risk and issue identification and work breakdown structures;
• Business experience in an aerospace industry and proven knowledge of Configuration Management;
• Teamcenter PLM System knowledge (highly desirable);
• Experience with enterprise applications such as ERP
