Position Details

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with IT to translate business needs into potential solution documents
  • Prepare business requirement document
  • Prepare current "as is" workflow process as required and assess impact of future state
  • Review business requirement documentation for completion and obtain final sign-off
  • Create reusable test assets and ensure test process, methodologies and tools are applied appropriately
  • Develop and document test scenarios, test matrices, and execute system/integration testing
  • Execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Post Acceptance Testing (PAT) after system implementation
  • Assist in training the trainers
  • Provide a status report on a regular basis
  • Manage deviation to plans and escalate to supervisor the issues that have significant impact to plans
  • Participate in project activities including the definition and interpretation of business requirements and creation of documents
  • Coordinate system integration testing to ensure test plan, test cases are executed
  • Assist in the implementation of system projects and new technology
  • Participate in the post-implementation support and review
  • Collaborate with, IT, Project Manager, Analysts, or other internal staff, IT department, or external vendors to resolve problems, as needed
  • Analyze, respond to and resolve reported insurance system problems
  • Maintain system tables / files that hold business rules, rates/factors and other key information used for processing data and for rating purposes
  • Assist in updating system tables/files accurately when changes are requested including product configuration & admin setup.
  • Set-up user access for all insurance systems
  • Assist in communicating to management, team leaders, and trainers on any new or changed functionality of a given system
  • Provide contents for training material
  • Provides on-call technical support for clients via phone and e-mail to accurately record a detailed description of known issue
  • Log and track communication and analysis of incident and/or problem

Who You Are

  • Post-secondary education in Business or Information Technology
  • CIP, CRM, CBAP, CAPM, PMP preferred but not required
  • Minimum 2 years’ proven experience in the Personal and Commercial Insurance or Finance industries preferred
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Business Analyst or Business Consultant
  • Experience with regulatory reporting with IBC and GAA
  • Experience with Policy and Claims Administration systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written communication, verbal communication, and presentation skills
  • Strong technical acumen and demonstrated experience in data gathering, data analysis, data backfilling, and the creation of conceptual and logical models
