Short Description

Customer Operations’ Strategy and Insight team is a multi-faceted organization responsible for leveraging business insights to set strategy and policy for Wireless/Wireline and multi-product customers. These insights help govern Bell’s Credit and Risk management strategies and policies. If you have a passion for risk management, strategy and forecasting, this is a great opportunity for you to contribute to Bell’s strategic mandates. You will work within the Risk Management Department under the Customer Operations Business Unit, reporting to Senior Manager, Credit & Collections Risk. You will develop and launch credit projects from end to end, support cross-functional initiatives to expand credit, and provide forecast estimate on bad debt and bank fees with the support of a finance team to a senior audience

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Bad debt and bank fees forecast insight based on leading indicator
  • Lead credit projects that drive incremental activations and/or improve our risk management practices
  • Lead credit projects that drive saving in bank fees
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams throughout the duration of cross-functional projects to ensure that credit requirements are correctly captured, tested, and implemented prior to project launch
  • Propose initiatives to reduce credit and collection risks contributing to involuntary churn and overall bad debt
  • Analyze raw data, using tools such as Excel, SAS, or SQL, to build business cases and to measure project success
  • Conduct presentations and share project updates at an executive level

Critical Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/postgraduate degree
  • Demonstrated experience in translating complex business issues in a simple and concise manner
  • Self-starter with strong sense of urgency, high accountability and excellent attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, SAS programming and/or MSSQL

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with risk management concepts and frameworks
  • Experience in Collection and Consumer Credit Risk
  • Knowledge of the telecommunications industry
  • Experience building presentations and presenting to an executive audience
