Job Description

Lumenance is searching for motivated Automotive Computer Aided Engineers (CAE) with prior vehicle crash simulation experience. The candidates must be capable of contributing to a fast paced, project development environment for automobile design and manufacturing.

These positions are in Ohio, USA. Lumenance will help procure the necessary U.S. work visas for qualified candidates from Mexico and Canada.

Job Responsibilities

• Build models for passenger vehicles so that effective crash simulation may be performed.
• Gathering data from multiple sources, calibrate the models, and initiate some correlation efforts.
• Depending on experience, advance correlation work may be available.
• Interact with designers and suppliers as needed to gather data.
• Use technical expertise to generate creative and innovative solutions to ensure new vehicles will meet industry crash standards.
• Work with R&D team to address findings in analysis (e.g. redesign components)
• Presentation of concepts to other engineers, managers, and executives as needed or required.
  

Requirements

• BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline
• Minimum of 6+ years of industry experience as CAE analyst and specific solver software usage depending on department specialty area
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with LS-DYNA using pre-processor / post-processor tools (ANSA and Meta-Post) for complex vehicle system level CAE model construction, visualization, and analysis
• Related advanced degree may be substituted for 2 years of experience
