Focused on providing outstanding support to all stages of an event, this role is responsible for the the set-up of
equipment, facilitation of audio and visual technical equipment for the event, and the strike of the equipment. In
addition this role will be responsible for various shop and equipment maintenance responsibilities.
This role is focused on providing outstanding support to the event at all stages of the process.


Key Job Responsibilities


Customer Service
  • Provide an outstanding customer experience when in liaison with client and/or venue staff
  • Shows up in a professional way, in appearance, communication and execution
  • Provide excellent customer-service and strive to exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external
stakeholders, by maintaining positive relationships with clients through clear and consistent communication
  • Develop and maintain good internal/external client relationships with vendors while ensuring confidentiality
  • Remain current with industry technologies, products and trends
  • Support special projects as required

Systems Knowledge
  • Provide appropriate AV and staging solutions on-site
  • Loading Content onto media servers, computers
  • Preparing, labeling and scanning equipment as required
  • Load/unload gear and equipment

Technical Operations
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, AV systems and equipment for both live events and conference rooms
  • Operate and maintain all formats of AV equipment
  • Follow all venue safety requirements and supplier protocols
  • Flexibility to accommodate and deliver last minute changes to meeting requirements
  • Operate lift equipment and delivery trucks in accordance with company safety standards/policies
  • Provide feedback to management with respect to client satisfaction
  • Develop expertise in maintaining, repairing and protecting all equipment


Job Qualifications 
High School Diploma required. Associate’s degree is preferred. 
Achieve a minimum of Technical Level 3 Certification per Encore Technical Skillset Matrix within 180 days 
1 year of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
 1 year of audio visual experience or equivalent in educational environment is preferred.
 A valid driver’s license is required for team members that may operate Company vehicles.
