About Our Client

We are seeking a skilled individual to join our client’s team in the London to Guelph area. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction development and, preferably, knowledge in a mix of ICI and multi-residential developments (high-rise welcome)

Job Description

As the Assistant Site Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Site Superintendent in coordinating and managing construction activities. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• On-Site Support: Collaborate with the Site Superintendent to oversee daily operations and ensure construction progress according to plans and schedules.
• Quality Assurance: Assist in upholding the highest standards of construction quality and safety, adhering to all relevant regulations and best practices.
• Subcontractor Coordination: Liaise with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure seamless execution of construction tasks.
• Project Documentation: Assist in maintaining accurate project documentation, including progress reports, safety records, and change orders.
• Schedule Management: Support the Site Superintendent in developing and maintaining project schedules, optimizing resource allocation to meet project milestones.
• Problem-Solving: Identify and address construction issues promptly, contributing to effective solutions to keep projects on track.

The Successful Applicant

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience in ICI and Multi-Residential construction development as an Assistant Site Superintendent or a related role.
• Location: Candidates should be based within the London to Guelph region as projects could be anywhere in this radius.
• Construction Knowledge: A solid understanding of construction development processes, regulations, and best practices.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to tackle construction challenges.
