This position will be responsible for taking a leadership role in Don: by Pokey Okey.
They will report to the store manager, who then reports directly to the CEO.
Job performance will be assessed on a quarterly basis using measurable key performance indicators (KPIs), which will affect the yearly raise that is received.
This position is part of a pilot program, meaning adherence to industry norms is unlikely and circumstances may cause the job scope to change.

This position will begin work on April 15, 2022 (subject to project completion date, may be up to one month earlier or later), and the workplace will be at 2186 West 4th Avenue, Vancouver.

Duties include:
- Working up to a maximum of 48 hours per week
- Providing at least 5 full days of availability
- Making bowls and other menu items for dine-in and take-out customers, as well as couriers
- Providing high quality customer service to dine-in customers
- Taking initiative to surprise and delight customers
- Preparing the food that is used to make bowls
- Ensuring the quality of food remains up to our standards
- Keeping the kitchen and customer areas clean, and generally maintaining the store
- Handling customer complaints and recording all incidents
- Placing daily supplier orders and ensuring all items are accounted for upon delivery
- Making miscellaneous petty cash purchases as required and filing for reimbursement
- Keeping up to date with all communications from the company
- Making suggestions for potential new items, products, or work processes
- Adhering to and enforcing all company policies
- Assessing the need for overtime
- Assisting in scheduling, including time off
- Asking employees to come in to work, as necessary

Position Details

Candidate Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of combined experience in customer service and food service, with a minimum of 6 months in food service
- Full time availability
- The ability to work early mornings or late nights

Candidate Preferences:
- Experience working as a barista, bartender, or poke server
- Experience working at a well-established company with customer service training, such as Cineplex, Starbucks, or Lululemon
- Foodsafe certification
- Red Seal certification in cooking

Compensation:
- $50,000/year with a guaranteed annual raise of at least $2000 and up to $5000 depending on KPI performance
- KPI progress will be assessed quarterly, and raises will be June 1st each year starting in 2023
- Estimated 10% of yearly wages in tips (tips are pooled and distributed based on the hours worked that day)
- 10 days of paid vacation, with an additional day per year worked
- 6 days of paid sick leave
