Job Posting: Vertical Farming Lab Assistant

Location: Surrey and Abbotsford, BC

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Vertical Farming Lab Assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining vertical farming systems, setting up machinery, harvesting and packaging produce, conducting plant biology experiments, germinating seeds, transplanting seedlings, routine cleaning and maintenance of the lab, delivering produce to local grocers, communicating with customers, and inspecting off-site vertical farming installations in Surrey and Abbotsford BC.

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license and a reliable car
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions accurately
• Marketing experience is an asset

Responsibilities:

• Maintain vertical farming systems
• Set up machinery
• Harvest and package produce
• Conduct plant biology experiments
• Germinate seeds
• Transplant seedlings
• Clean and maintain the lab
• Deliver produce to local grocers
• Communicate with customers
• Inspect off-site vertical farming installations

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
