Introduction

We are currently hiring a Strategic Account Manager for our client, a leader in infusion therapy and pain management. Our client develops, manufactures, and markets innovative medical products and services to the healthcare industry. Their key product areas include nutrition, pharmacy admixture and compounding, ostomy and wound care, and dialysis.

The Strategic Account Manager will be responsible for promoting sales of IV products (solutions, sets, needle free), IV/syringe/PCA pumps and sets, Safety IV catheters, by developing new prospects, interacting with established customers, and working closely with the company’s distributors and common customers to establish and maintain good relationship.

Responsibilities

  • Call on Anesthesiologists, Nursing, Pharmacists, Materials Managers, Nurses, purchasing group members and any other individuals who are decision makers in the sales process.
  • Solidify/upgrade business base to achieve 100% of GP and sales plan.
  • Increase sales in various product categories
  • Offer good customer experience/support with the company’s product line
  • Maintain relationships with internal departments, i.e., Marketing, Clinical team, Technical Services, Customer Service, Region office, ASC support.
  • Compare competitive proposals and offer creative bids to customers.
  • Conduct product trials and in-services for clinical staff.
  • Assist peers with product trials and conversions.
  • Submit monthly forecasts and achievements.
  • Participate in ride-along for employment candidates and new hires training on products.
  • Communicate comprehensive and efficient hospital reports to management as directed.
  • Maintain weekly expense and sales reports.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and follow up letters.
  • Participate in RFP/GPO response for the company’s products portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • Previous medical equipment sales experience, previous or existing healthcare (nursing, paramedic, respiratory technology.
  • Computer aptitude, using applications such as SalesForce.com.
  • Basic knowledge of the company’s IV products and services.
  • Understanding of hospital structure and role of personnel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to initiate projects and tasks with little or no direction.
  • Ability to make decisions independently, sometimes without many facts available, to solve a customer problem or concern.
  • Ability to work well independent of supervision, as well as in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of purchasing group structure.
  • Fluent in English and French.
  • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.
  • Must be willing to travel (domestic).
  • Valid driver’s license and current automobile registration and insurance.
