Dow is currently seeking exceptional Engineering students for Co-op opportunities in Operations (Manufacturing, Engineering and Environmental).

Engineering students work as part of a team to address challenging, real-world problems. We combine world-class expertise, future-focused technologies, and sustainability to solve global issues in the areas of energy, consumerism, health and nutrition, infrastructure and transportation.

Co-op opportunities include a broad range of responsibilities within the chemical and mechanical engineering disciplines.

Current Co-op positions available at Dow include:

• Chemical Engineers - plant operation, plant maintenance and reliability, process engineering, or plant improvements.
• M echanical Engineers - production troubleshooting and problem solving, preventive maintenance, yield improvements, waste reduction.
  Assignment locations include opportunities at:
  
  • Alberta - Prentiss (near Red Deer) and Fort Saskatchewan (near Edmonton)
  • Ontario - West Hill (Toronto) and St. Clair (Corunna)
    
  Preferred Qualifications:
  
  • Prefer students that have completed their 3rd or 4th year of academic studies.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Outstanding work ethic and leadership potential
  • Active participation and leadership in extracurricular activities and on-campus organizations.
    
  Required Qualifications:
  
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering.
  • Must have a minimum overall cumulative 2.700 GPA (on a 4.000 scale) or equivalent on a 100% scale at your current Canadian based university
  • All applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company support or sponsorship or have a valid current Canadian Work Permit to be considered for this opening.
    
  Contingencies:
  
  • Reliable attendance is an expectation of every Dow employee, therefore the successful student must be able to provide their own accommodation, and have their own reliable transportation to the plant site daily. Our plant sites are not on public transportation routes.
