POSITION: Transportation Administration Student (Competition #2023-05)

LOCATION: Woodstock

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Contract Full-Time (1 vacancy)

REPORTING TO: Supervisor of Transportation

UNION AFFILIATION: Non-Union

WAGE RATE: $18.00/hr

Hours of Work: Monday-Friday, 8:00a.m. - 4:30p.m. (40hrs/week)

Student employment commences in May 2023 and ends at the beginning of September 2023.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Providing support for transportation (roads) operations projects, such as asphalt crack sealing, trail corridor fencing, and phragmites control program. GPS surveying of road and storm infrastructure. Traffic counts, data management, coordination of traffic signal repair, and other duties as assigned. Working indoors and outdoors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· G2 or G driver’s licence (an acceptable driving record will be required)

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.

· Enrolled in a post-secondary program in civil engineering or related discipline is an asset.

· To be considered for a student position, you must currently be enrolled on a full-time basis at a post-secondary institution, and be returning to a post-secondary institution on a full-time basis in the Fall 2023 semester.
