Job Description


Training Management

  • Develop and evolve training and skills development strategies and practices in line with corporate objectives.
  • Plan and implement training activities for employees.
  • Support other team members in the evaluation and processing of training requests.
  • Communicate with external suppliers, analyze service offerings and make recommendations.
  • Implement the annual training calendar including scheduling trainers and managing training documents.
  • Conduct post-training follow-ups with participants and trainers to assess learning and overall satisfaction with the training in order to make recommendations for improvement as needed.
  • Ensure consistency, maintenance and optimization of all training practices, documentation and systems.
  • Evaluate opportunities for continuous improvement of training practices, including the possibility of implementing a new learning management system, and make recommendations to the HR leadership team.
  • Ensure the maintenance and compliance of the Training Initiative Quality Certificate (TIQC) and act as the lead for the TIQC committee.

Competency Development

  • Participate in various projects related to training and skills development.
  • Participate in the identification, analysis and prioritization of skills development needs in collaboration with other members of the HR team and the various sectors.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings for training and skills development projects.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of training and skills development practices.

Advising Role

  • Assume an advisory role with internal clients in matters or projects related to training and skills development (e.g.: setting up training courses, training of trainers, etc.).
  • Provide ideas and contribute to problem solving through analysis and in-depth knowledge of his/her field of expertise.
  • Be on the lookout for best practices in his/her field of expertise.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a field appropriate to the job (pedagogy, training, andragogy, human resources or other)
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in training development and coordination
  • Experience with a learning management system (LMS), an asset
  • Very good knowledge of French and English
  • Very good computer skills
  • Good knowledge of project management, an asset
