Tractor/Light Equipment Operator (Solar Construction)

**This ad is for a single solar project in Fort Saskatchewan with work scheduled from April until September 2023. We are hiring experienced and ticketed equipment operators.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operating equipment, particularly tractor & telehandler
• Loading and unloading construction materials, & moving them to work areas
• Communicating/coordinating with swamper/ground crew
• Cleaning up chemical spills or other contaminants
• Oiling and greasing equipment
• Additional physical labour as required

Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience operating a variety of equipment such as a tractor, loader, skid steer, telehandler, and mini excavator; tickets/certificates an asset
  
• Ability to drive and maneuver a tractor with trailer through a busy construction site
• CSTS 2020 Fundamentals
• Class 5 driver’s licence (or equivalent)
• Ability to pass a fitness-to-work test
• Some knowledge or capacity to learn electrical construction & safety concerns
• A quality mindset and attention to detail are important

Additional Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assisting electrical, labourer, or supervisor colleagues in their tasks where required, including getting out of the equipment as needed
