Reporting to the Corporate Secretary Associate General Counsel, Corporate, the Student Intern, Legalis responsible for a variety of tasks, projects and assignments in our Corporate Legal offices headquartered in downtown Calgary.

The individual in this position is expected to work independently on some tasks and work as part of a team on others. Our ideal candidate will have strong organizations skills, the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and to work with minimal supervision or take the initiative when appropriate. Some legal knowledge or experience would be an asset but is not required.

With a foundation of integrity, the candidate would use commitment and creativity to drive our organization forward. This is a 3 month temporary position.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

  • Working closely with the Corporate Legal team on various requests from our Canadian and international offices
  • Scanning and organizing minute books and digital files for Enerflex Ltd. and its global subsidiaries
  • Reviewing archived material and implementing a document retention system (physical paper and digital)
  • Participating in various special projects and workstreams
  • Supporting the Global Legal Team with various administrative tasks
  • Maintaining an Organizational Chart and other key legal documents
  • Proofreading materials including regulatory filings
  • Participating in continuous disclosure requests and know your client processes
  • Updating registers, agreements, extra-provincial documents, etc.
  • Assisting our Senior Vice President, General Counsel when called upon
  • Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Word, Excel, Adobe and Microsoft Office software is required
  • Possess an aptitude for organization, timeliness, confidentiality, attention to detail and follow‑through
  • A strong team player who is excited to work collaboratively with legal and executive personnel
  • Familiarity with corporate or legal documents and minute books is preferred but not required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
