Bayview Trucks & Equipment Ltd. is a Full Service, Parts and Sales dealer for Kenworth Trucks and KUBOTA farm and construction equipment, with 5 locations in New Brunswick (Saint John, Fredericton, Moncton, Woodstock & Bathurst) and two in Nova Scotia, New Glasgow and Dartmouth.

Reporting to the Director of Service Operations, the Service Manager ensures the comprehensive supervision and coordination of all work in the Truck Service department. They ensure optimal scheduling of staff, customers and assets, to maximize shop production and customer satisfaction. The Service manager maintains a professional demeanor with all staff and customers at all times and works with the management team in the development of organizational strategies and practices.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Achieve results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results, and coaching employees.
  • Collaborate with key customers by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; resolving problems.
  • Maintain a safe environment and quality service by establishing and applying organization standards, systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Create schedules and staffing requirements based on priorities and ensure submission of accurate and timely payroll documents.
  • Utilize work/repair orders systems and processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, 5S and Elite support certified.

Requirements:

  • Experience in heavy equipment industry or automotive repair environment. Truck and trailer experience is preferred but not required.
  • Experience coaching truck/automotive technicians/mechanics or tradespeople.
  • Experience working with OEM warranty process.
  • Demonstrated ability to energize, empower and engage team to get results.
  • Ability to deal with conflict and adversity when leading teams through change.
  • Basic knowledge of Warranty
  • works well with computers

Exceptional communication skills, suitable for communication across various levels.

All new hires are required to present a Clean Criminal reference check as well as a clean driver’s abstract.
