Position Description
Shkaabe Makwa is a Centre for First Nations, Inuit and Métis Wellness at CAMH that supports culturally relevant systems initiatives to achieve health equity and community wellness in collaboration with First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities and service providers across Ontario. Through the implementation of wise practices, evidence-based models, trauma-informed interventions, and the advancement of research, Shkaabe Makwa strives to transform health outcomes which harmonize traditional knowledge and medical expertise.

Shkaabe Makwa is seeking a First Nation, Inuit or Métis person for a full-time, permanent position as the Senior Project Analyst. Reporting to the Manager, Workforce Development, the Senior Project Analyst is responsible for the coordination of responsive, relevant and culturally appropriate training and events for First Nations, Inuit and Métis helpers/workers and Indigenous direct service providers across Ontario. Working with a team of internal collaborators and external partners, the incumbent will coordinate a range of events, including but not limited to, training and professional development activities, the annual Workforce Development Conference, special project forums as well as other team and community events (in-person and virtual).

The Senior Project Analyst will act as a senior project resource on assigned initiatives focusing on coordination, planning and execution of training, education, events and/or deliverables relating to Shkaabe Makwa; this will include new and existing projects. The incumbent will be expected to have advanced knowledge of virtual education, capacity building, and industry experience to execute their deliverables in support of the following activities: project coordination, event planning, stakeholder engagement, education and training, communications, risk mitigation, technical and administrative support, and project management documentation. This role will support Shkaabe Makwa activities, including engaging and tracking interaction with participants, helping plan events, including provincial trainings. The role will include working with new and existing vendors to sign services agreements. The Senior Project Analyst will work closely with a number of external provincial partners.

Qualifications
This position requires the incumbent to be First Nations, Inuit or Métis. The successful candidate will have a university degree in a related field (Health, Education, Social Services, Business Administration, Health Administration, or other related field), with 2-3 years of relevant experience in event planning, business/project analysis supporting project planning, improvement of projects in the healthcare sector, preferably in the Indigenous health, social services, or nonprofit sector. Thorough understanding of principles and practices of Indigenous engagement is required. Demonstrated knowledge of First Nations, Inuit and Métis communities, cultures, perspectives and health service providers. Excellent organizational, event planning and time management skills as coordinating events (in-person and online) with tight deadlines is often required, bringing together stakeholders, Indigenous direct service providers, and vendors from different sectors/communities and organizing multi-organization initiatives. Superior interpersonal, organizational, problem solving, and client-centered skills, detail-oriented with analytical problem-solving ability, be able to prioritize/manage competing deadlines, and have the ability to translate needs into actionable recommendations. You will have the demonstrated ability to work independently in a self-directed manner with minimal supervision, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, project management knowledge and experience, excellent oral and written communication skills, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access. The incumbent will be experienced using varied technology platforms such as Zoom and WebEx to host large webinars and trainings (500 participants). Experience using web-based survey tools (Survey Monkey, RedCap) and Customer Relationship Management software is required (Mail Chimp and Salesforce). Experience supporting corporate and community-wide, multi-site strategic initiatives and projects in health care organizations and First Nations communities. Bilingualism in French/English or an Indigenous language would be an asset. This position requires occasional travel throughout Ontario.

Salary Range: $33.59 - $45.31 per hour
